Will exposed concrete hinder me from being able to shovel snow?

Will exposed concrete hinder me from being able to shovel snow?
No. You will be able to shovel snow off your exposed concrete however, a plastic snow shovel is recommended in order to preserve the gloss (sealer).
Can I power wash my exposed concrete?
Yes, however extended exposure to powerful water jets can wear on the concrete around the rocks.
Can you match the stones I already have?
Unfortunately it is not possible to match existing exposed. We can attempt to match as close as possible however there is no guarantee. If you do not wish to have variances it is recommended you consider new concrete.
Is there any upkeep required with exposed concrete?
You will need to reseal your concrete every two years. You can get sealer at your local hardware store.
Can exposed concrete go on my pool deck where a lot of the traffic will be bare feet?
Yes, stones are not crushed, like traditional aggregate. There are no sharp edges. This makes for much more comfortable "bare foot" walking.

Broom finish concrete provides a durable, non-skid finish, commonly used for conventional outdoor concrete purposes. ie: concrete sidewalks, driveways and staircases etc.

How do I take care of broom finish concrete?
The protecting properties from the initial sealant application will always remain for concrete is porous, but many people prefer to keep the glossy look up (sealer dulls over time due to sun exposure) and therefore it is recommended you re-apply sealer every two or three years, in order to keep your concrete looking new.

Why would I choose a smooth finish?
Smooth finish concrete is typically used for indoor concrete floors. It allows for easy
clean up and acts as a very durable smooth surface finish. ie: garage and basement floors etc.
Why would I choose a polished finish?
There are two main reasons customers choose polished concrete: the ease of maintenance (see below) and resemblance to granite and marble without the hefty price tag.

Polished floors are easy to clean, requiring only occasional damp mopping, they hold up well to heavy forklift and foot traffic. They also eliminate the need for messy waxes or coatings—as well as the associated labor, time, and expense to apply them. What’s more, the glossy surface resists the marks of forklift truck tires and staining from oil and chemical spills. |
